17 September 2012—House of Batteries has installed two new conveyor assembly lines, each with 16 work stations, that will greatly reduce the labor time required for the manufacture of the company’s custom battery packs. The additional 32 assembly stations will allow House of Batteries to produce significantly more custom battery packs per month. With this added production equipment, the company is now running at only about 50 percent capacity on a single daily shift. This gives them ample room to expand and take on more business from customers who require the kind of high quality custom battery packs House of Batteries specializes in. Once at full manufacturing capacity, the company plans to add a second daily shift. House of Batteries has specialized in custom lithium ion, lithium polymer, and lithium iron phosphate custom battery packs since 1965. The Fountain Valley, California-based company employs nine electrical engineers to assist their customers with their most technical design challenges and to offer solutions for even the most difficult power requirements. With a large, state-of-the-art design center that includes the latest test and production equipment, as well as additional assembly plants in Mexico and China, House of Batteries strives to be the go-to source for portable energy solutions from design to delivery.
