The canopy systems Panel Built manufactures, have a variety of applications ranging from carports to walkways. By adding solar panels to the tops of the canopies, companies can create and store energy for them to use, while also offering shelter from sun damage and inclement weather. The solar canopies use Panel Builts bolt-together steel system, similar to their standard steel mezzanines. Completely fabricated in Panel Builts manufacturing facility, the structures are installed at the job site in a fraction of the time as traditional construction. In addition to their environment benefits, the canopy structures offer a sound financial investment for companies by allowing them to fully recoup their initial investment and save money over the long term. All systems are custom made and come in flat, ascending, or descending designs. Panel Built was founded in 1995 by brothers Pat and Mike Kiernan and began with the construction of pre-manufactured buildings.
